PCMS Represents Members at Legislative Reception

A major role of county and state physician organizations is to represent the interests of their physician members.

Each year, the Pima and Maricopa County Medical Societies and the Arizona Medical Association hold an annual legislative reception to facilitate positive interaction between physician leadership and state legislators who directly impact funding and delivery of health care in Arizona.

PCMS President Dr. Roy Loewenstein (R) took time out for a photo with Drs. Michael Hamant (L), ArMA President and Dr. Randy Friese (C), D-Dist. 9, at the recent Phoenix Legislative Reception sponsored by PCMS, MCMS and ArMA. All are long-time members of PCMS.
PCMS President Dr. Roy Loewenstein (L) and PCMS Student Board member Adam Roussas (R) listen intently to Dr. Ricardo Correa Marquez (C) during a discussion of the upcoming legislative session. Annually hundreds of bills are proposed that impact physicians and the delivery of health care.
More than 100 individuals were on hand for the 2018 Legislative Reception held February 5 at the Unexpected Art Gallery. The Legislative Reception provides physician leadership the opportunity to meet and mingle with many of those who will have great influence on how medicine is practiced in Arizona.
