PCMS Hosts 1st Annual Career-Builder Bootcamp

PCMS Hosts 1st Annual Career-Builder Bootcamp

The first Pima County Medical Society Career Builder Bootcamp was held on September 28th at the Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation Conference Center.

The event was designed to mentor medical students, residents and young physicians on how to navigate a career in medicine and make the most of opportunities available in Pima County and Arizona. Presentations and panel discussions included information on applying for residency programs, picking a specialty, academic medicine careers, opportunities available at local hospitals and working in primary care.

Presenters from Tucson Medical Center and the Veterans Administration Hospital provided an overview of benefits and employment opportunities with their organizations. Panel discussions were led by PCMS members who shared their experiences and answered questions.
