Fred E. Brickman 1946-2016
Radiologist Fred E. Brickman passed May 19, 2016 after a three-year battle with renal cancer. He was 70
Brickman was born April 27, 1946 in Chicago and raised in New Orleans. He received a degree in chemistry from Washington University, St. Louis and graduated from Louisiana State University Medical School in 1972 . His medical training continued in Dallas with an internship at Veterans Hospital and a residency in diagnostic radiology at Parkland Memorial Hospital. Radiology at n Dallas. He received a fellowship at the University of Oregon in Portland for ultrasound.
Brickman started practicing radiology in Tucson at Kino Hospital in 1977 and joined PCMS in 1983 and remained a member until 2013. He enjoyed travel, Arizona sports, good conversation with a good meal and wine.
He is survived by his wife Rochelle “Shelley”(Feldman), daughter Melanie Brickman Boarchard (Paul), son Adam Brickman (Claire Martin), sister Robette Shurman (Gary), sister-in-law, Tobie Bloom (Lee) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration was held at East Lawns Palms Cemetery on May 22, 2016. Donations may be made in is memory to the Kidney Cancer Association.
